The correct option is D an clockwise current-pulse and then an anticlockwise current-pulse.

When the switch is closed, current will flow from postive to negative terminal (in figure). Due to this current, a magnetic field will produced. This will cause the induced current in the loop. Due to Lenz’s law the induced current is such that it opposes the increase in magnetic field. So, induced current will be in clockwise direction.

Similarly, when the circuit is opened, magnetic field decreases. So induced current will be in anticlockwise direction.

Hence, when switch is closed, clockwise current flows in the circuit and when switch is opened, anticlockwise current flows.

So, option d is correct.
