Open in App
Solution

We have been given the sides of rectangle which are AB=8 cm and BC=6 cm.
We know that opposite sides of rectangle are equal.
AB=DC=8 cm and BC=AD=6 cm
Steps of construction :
1. Draw a line segment AB=8 cm
2. Since, we know all angles of rectangle are 90 then construct an angle of 90 at A and B.
3. Cut off AD and BC at 6 cm.
4. Join CD.
Thus, we get the required rectangle ABCD.
