Steps of construction:
Draw a line segment AB of 12 cm as the base of the triangle.
Placing the right angle vertex of the set square at point A, draw a line segment of length 5 cm and name its end point as C.
Join B and C to get the required right angled triangle.
We can now measure the side BC, which will measure out to 13 cm.
