Question

Construct a right triangle whose hypotenuse and one side measures 10 cm and 8 cm respectively. Then construct another triangle whose sides are 45 times the corresponding sides of this triangle.

1. Draw a line segment RQ=8 c.m.
2. Construct RL perpendicular RQ.
3. Taking Q as centre and whose radius as 10 c.m. drawn an arc that cuts the ray RE are point P.
4. Join PQ to obtain PQR.
5. Below RQ, make an acute angle QRX
6. Along RX make 5 points R1,R2,R3,R4,R5 such that RR1=R1R2=R2R3=..=R4R5
7. Join R5Q.
8. From R4. Drawn R4CR5C
9. From Q draw RP,RP meeting RP at point P then PQR as the required triangle.
