Open in App
Solution

We know that in an isosceles triangle, the altitude bisects the base.
Hence, follow the steps given below to construct the triangle.
1. Draw a line segment BC=6.2 cm.
2. Find the mid point of BC at 3.1 cm from B and name it as D.
3. Draw a perpendicular of length 4.4 cm at D.
4. Mark the point as A.
5. Join, A to B and A to C
6. ABC is the required triangle.
