We have given that given ABC is isosceles triangle.
A = 90 [Given]
then, B = C = 45 [ Two angles of isosceles triangle are equal]
Steps of construction are given below :-
Take a line segment BC = 6.8cm.
Construct angles of 45 at points B and C which is meet at point A.
Measure line segment AB and AC.
We get, AB=AC=4.8cm
