Question

Construct the quadrilaterals with the given measurements. And write steps of construction.
Quadrilateral ABCD with AB=5.5cm, BC=3.5cm, CD=4cm, AD=5cm and A =45o.

Steps of construction:
1. Draw a line segment AB=5.5cm
2. Take A as center and draw a ray makes an angle of 45o
3. Draw an arc on the ray with radius AD=5cm
4. Take B as center with radius 3.5cm and draw an arc.
5. Take D as center with radius 4cm and draw an arc, which meets previous arc at point C.
6. Join CD and BC.
Hence, ABCD is required quadrilateral.
