From given data (From ΔG=nEF)
(i) Cu(s)Cu2+(aq)+2eΔG1=2×(0.34)×F
(ii) Cu2+(aq)+eCu+(aq)ΔG2=1×(0.15)F
On addition
Cu(s)Cu+(aq)+eΔG3=1×E×E
ΔG3=ΔG1+ΔG2
=(2×0.34×F)+(1×0.15×F)
=+0.68F0.15F=0.53F
or E=0.53V

Reaction,
2Cu+(aq)Cu2+(aq)+Cu(s)
E= ?

So, Cu+(aq)+eCu(s),
E=+0.53V
Cu+(aq)Cu2+(aq)+e;
E=0.15V
