CuSO4was dissolved in one beaker and hydrated copper sulphate
( CUSO4.5H2O ) was dissolved in another beaker. What heat changes do you expect in these
beakers and why?

CuSO4 + 5 H2O CuSO4 .5 H2OAnhydrous Hydrated coppersulphateCoppersulphate(colourless) ( blue)Its an exothermic reaction. so thermometer shows increase in temperature.CuSO4 .5 H2O + H2O CuSO4 .5 H2O(aq)Here also heat is released as is exothermic reaction. But as the salt is alreadyhydrated less amount of heat is coming out. That means the thermometer shows lessrise in temperature.
