Discuss the effects of deforestation on cities (urban areas).

Deforestation in cities can increase the risk of many natural calamities such as floods and droughts in that area. It also leads to an increase in the concentration of greenhouse gases which causes an elevation in local temperatures. This eventually contributes to global warming.
