The above figures can be thought of as a number line, where the distance between 0 and 1 is divided into "d" equal parts where "d" is the denominator of the fraction.

In the figure above $\frac{6}{6}$ and $\frac{3}{3}$ are just below one another.

$\therefore$$\frac{6}{6}\begin{array}{c}=\end{array}\frac{3}{3}$
