As we know that,
$A = P (1 + \frac{R \times t}{100})$
Here,
$A =$ Amount $= ?$
$P =$ Principal $= R s . 8000$
$R =$ Rate of interest $= 21 %$ per annum
$T =$ Time $= 9 months = \frac{9}{12} = \frac{3}{4} years$
Therefore,
$A = 8000 ⎛ ⎜ ⎜ ⎜ ⎝ 1 + \frac{21 \times \frac{3}{4}}{100} ⎞ ⎟ ⎟ ⎟ ⎠$
$\Rightarrow A = 8000 \times \frac{400 + 63}{400}$
$\Rightarrow A = 20 \times 463 = 9260$
Hence David will have to pay $R s . 9260$ .
