Solution

The resulting substance is known as a Mixture in chemistry when two or more substances mix without undergoing a chemical change.

The consequence of combining things does not lose their individuality, and they are not chemically combined.

Chemical substances such as elements and compounds are mechanically blended or mixed to produce mixtures.

Usually, mixtures are of two types (a) Homogenous and(b) Heterogeneous mixture.

Homogeneous mixtures are those that have the same properties and combinations throughout their entire mass.

  • The most obvious example of a homogenous mixture is sugar and water.
  • Examples of Homogeneous mixtures – alloys, salt, and water, alcohol in water, sugar in water, etc.
