Solution
Asexual reproduction is the mode of reproduction in which only a single parent is involved and there is no formation and fusion of gametes.
The different modes of asexual reproduction are as follows:
Binary fission: In this, a single parent cell is divided into two daughter cells. The nucleus of the parent cell divides first followed by cytoplasmic division, resulting in the formation of two daughter cells. This type of reproduction occurs in a primitive type of organism like the amoeba.
Budding: In case of Hydra which reproduces by budding, a small outgrowth called bud develops on the parent body which grows and ultimately reaches a point where it develops tentacles and mouth like parent hydra. Then finally detaches from the parent body and develops into a new individual.
