Define circulatory system.

Circulatory system otherwise known as cardiovascular system consists of:

1. Heart – muscular organ, located in chest cavity, between lungs. It has 4 chambers, two upper and two lower.
2. Blood- is the body’s fluid connective tissue. It transport nutrients, hormones, minerals etc.
3. Blood vessels – pathways through which blood travels through the body.
4. Lymphatic system – consists of another body fluid called lymph. It is otherwise called interstitial fluid.

The main function is transportation of oxygen and carbon dioxide.
