Open in App
Solution

The founder effect is one form of genetic drift. This is the phenomenon in which there is a derivation of a new population from a small isolated group of individuals. The new population is genetically different from the parent populations. For example: Pitcairn island is a group of volcanic islands. The calamities result in the development of the different human population on this island. This is an example of Founder's effect.
