Solution

Global warming :

The phenomenon of the gradual rise in the temperature of the earth due to the high amount of emission of greenhouse gasses, deforestation, burning of fossil fuels, and exposure to chlorofluorocarbons.

Causes of Global warming :

  1. Burning of fossil fuels: Fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gas are burned for the consumption of energy. It leads to the accumulation of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which is a major cause of rising in the temperature of the earth.
  2. Deforestation: It is another major cause of global warming as plants are the main source of oxygen. They consume carbon dioxide and release oxygen into the atmosphere. When these trees and plants are cut down for commercial and domestic purposes it leads to a disturbance in the environment.
