Solution

The passing on of traits form parent to offspring is known as heridity. Heredity , as we know, maintains a common basic body design (a new born child has all the basic features of a human being).

Heredity is a process of transmisssion of genes (traits) from parents to their offsprings. During reproduction male and female gametes carrying genes fuse together to form a zygote and after that this zygote undergo further development to form a new individual. Zygote carry genes from both the parents. Expression of these genes in the cells of a new born baby will decide his/her charachteristics, which are very similar to his/her parents.
