Mixed nerves:

  1. These are the nerves that perform both the action of sensory nerves as well as a motor nerves.
  2. They transform electrical impulses from the central nervous system to the muscles of the body.
  3. Generally, the mixed nerves transmit impulses at the rate of 120 metres per second or 432 kilometres per hour.
  4. Example - Spinal Nerve.
