The maximum possible amount of solute that can be dissolved in 100 g of water at a particular temperature to form a saturated solution is called the solubility of that substance at that temperature.
For example-
The solubility of common salt in 100 g of water is 36 g.
The solubility of sugar in 100 g of water is 204 g.
