Threshold frequency is the minimum frequency of light which causes electrons to be emitted from $0$ metal surface

It is given by,

$Φ = E_{I n c} - (K E)_{m a x}$

where $E_{I n c}$ is energy of Incident photons and $(K E)_{m a x}$ is the Max kinetic energy of emitted photo electrons.
