Vaporisation:

  1. Conversion of a substance from the liquid or solid phase into the gaseous (vapour) phase is known as vaporisation.

vaporisation has two types

  1. Boiling: Boiling is the change from liquid to gas phase on absorption of heat at a constant temperature. Water boils at 1000C
  2. Evaporation: Evaporation is a process in which a substance changes from a liquid state to a gaseous state below its boiling temperature.
