Vegetative reproduction is a type of asexual reproduction in a plant. Only one plant is involved and the offspring is the result of only one parent. The new plant grows from the fragment of the parent plant or grows from a specialized structure. The new plant evolved is genetically identical to the parent plant. It is of two types natural and artificial.
