Solution

The zero of the polynomial is defined as any real value of x, for which the value of the polynomial becomes zero.

A real number k is a zero of a polynomial p(x), if p(k) = 0.
eg if p(x) = 3x + 5
then zero of polynomial is found by putting p(x) = 0
3x +5 = 0
x = -5/3
1+2x +3 + 4x + 5 + 6x + 7 =0
12x + 16 = 0
x = -4/3
