Dear student, In the Vedic period, people were engaged in cattle rearing. They earned their living by raising livestock. Farming and cultivation were also practised by people. But, in the later Vedic period, agriculture became the popular occupation. People were also engaged in pottery, carpentry, spinning, chariot making etc. Regards
