Describe Rutherford's atomic model and also explain its drawbacks.

Solution
Rutherford's atomic model is the model which described the atom as a tiny, dense, positively charged core
called a nucleus, in which nearly all the mass is concentrated, around
which the light, negative constituents, called electrons, circulate at
some distance, much like planets revolving around the Sun.
Drawback's of this model are:
It could not explain the line spectra of atoms.
It could not explain the stability of an atom because this model does not obey the Maxwell law of electrodynamics.
Rutherford’s model of the atom does not say anything about the arrangement of electrons in an atom.
