is a labour-intensive process which cannot be done by hand. Therefore, it is necessary to use tools and machines to carry out agricultural processes.
Plough:
A plough is one of the agricultural tools used for the initial soil cultivation in preparation for seed sowing or planting to loosen or turn the soil.
It is usually made of wood and is drawn by two bulls.
It has been used since ancient times for tiling, turning the soil and adding fertilizers.
It consists of a long log of wood called a ploughshaft. It has a strong triangular iron strip known as a ploughshare.
The other end is connected to a beam which is then placed on the bull’s neck.
However, the wooden ploughs are being replaced by iron ploughs nowadays and it is drawn by tractors.
Plough, the most important agricultural implement since the beginning of history, is used to turn and break up the soil, bury crop residues, and help control weeds.
