The industrialisation was linked to cotton production because there was a huge market for cotton and cotton factories became the dominant feature this paved a way for the huge growth in the cotton industry during the Industrial Revolution. Not only this those who owned the factories were getting much benefits as those who worked in them had no union protection against excessive work, dangerous conditions and low pay. They were getting cheaper raw materials from the colonies and a ready made market as well for the cotton products which in turn enhanced the pace of industrialisation.
