Solution

  1. Lysosomes are an important cell organelle found exclusively within the eukaryotic animal cells.
  2. Lysosome takes part in:
  1. Destroying the foreign bodies.
  2. Intracellular digestion of food particles.
  3. Removing worn out cellular organelles, thus they are called as cellular scavengers.
  4. Digesting the larval forms during metamorphosis.

3. Lysosome has digestive enzyme against all organic materials.

4. An injury to the membrane of lysosome will result in the spillage of digestive enzymes over the cell content and digest the same.

5. As they digest and kill the cell they are called suicidal bags of the cell.
