The Chinese civilisation flourished in the regions of the Hwang-Ho River around 4500 years ago.

In Chinese society, class divisions exist. On the top of the structure resided the king. He was the most powerful in society. Next came the nobles. Following them, the merchants and the craftsmen were in the third position.

The farmers were in the level fourth position, and following them were the slaves in the end position. The slaves were usually prisoners of war.
