describe the two phenomena which can prevent both autogamy and gaetonogamy and ensure xenogamy in flowering plants

Solution

Dear Student,

Herkogamy, prevents both and ensures xenogamy. Herkogamy is where the anther and stigma are spatially separated.
Self- sterility, is another process, where the stigma resists to accept the self pollen and promotes xenogamy.
