Solution

Asexual reproduction:

  1. Asexual reproduction requires only one parent and does not involve the fusion of gametes.
  2. It does not involve meiosis, ploidy reduction or fertilization.

Binary fission:

In the process of binary fission, an organism duplicates its genetic material, or deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), and then divides into two parts (cytokinesis), with each new organism receiving one copy of DNA.

Budding:

  1. Budding, a new organism starts growing from the parent's body.
  2. At first, it looks like a bud.
  3. This bud later develops into a mature organism.
  4. Sometimes it stays attached to the parent's body and sometimes it breaks off.
  5. Hydra reproduces by budding.

Fragmentation:

  1. Fragmentation is a form of asexual reproduction in which an organism is split into fragments.
  2. Each of these fragments develops into mature, fully grown individuals that are clones of the original organism.
