$\frac{2}{5}$ of a pole is under water, half of it is inside the mud and the remaining $3 m$ of the pole is above the water. Find the total length (in metre) of the pole.

According to question,

Let, total height of the pole be $x$ ,

So, $\frac{2 x}{5} + \frac{x}{2} + 3 = x$

$⟹ \frac{x}{10} = 3$

$⟹ x = 30 m$

Hence total length of the pole is $30 m$ .
