Sericulture is the rearing of the silkworms to obtain silk. During a stage of is life cycle, the silkworm weaves a net around itself and then silk is obtained from that net.

Apiculture is a technique of growing or keeping bees in hives on large scale for the purpose of extraction of honey and wax. Apiculture is done in areas around rich flora, so that bees can collect good amount of nectars from flowers.
