A disease is classified as communicable when it can be transferred from an infected person to a healthy person. These diseases can be transferred by direct or indirect contact with the affected person. It can spread through animals, infected people, air, foods , etc.

The infection that spreads from person to person is known as contagious. The disease caused by this type of infection is contagious disease like flu.
