Solution
Dear student,
The composite fish culture or polyculture is also known as mixed fish farming in which the fast-growing compatible species of fish of different feeding habits are stocked in the same pond together in order to use all ecological niches of the pond to get maximum production per hector of the water body.
While in the cultural fishery, the fishes are not selected based on their feeding habits and habitats, compatibility, or growth rate. Therefore, there are competitors to each other for food and space.
