  2. They include both microscopic (ex-yeast) and macroscopic (ex-mushrooms) organisms.
  3. They lack chlorophyll and therefore have a heterotrophic mode of nutrition.
  4. They act as decomposers in the ecosystem and therefore are known as saprophytes.

Plantae:

  1. They are multicellular, eukaryotic and autotrophic and they contain a rigid cell wall.
  2. They have different parts to support and anchor the plant and also for photosynthesis.
  3. They contain a photosynthetic pigment known as chlorophyll with the help of which they can make their own food.
  4. Thus, they are referred to as the primary producers in any ecosystem.

FungiPlantae
1.They include unicellular as well as multicellular eukaryotes.1.They include multicellular eukaryotes.
2. They lack chlorophyll.2. Chlorophyll is present.
3. They are saprophytic in nature i.e. they feed on dead and decaying matter.3. They are autotrophic i.e. they synthesize their own food using inorganic substances.
