The neurons which conduct nerve impulses to muscles and glands to stimulate or inhibit their activities are called motor neurons. The neurons that conduct nerve impulses from the peripheral tissues to the central nervous system to evoke sensation like touch, pain, heat, cold, taste, vision, hearing, etc. are called sensory neurons
