Differentiate between protoplasm and cytoplasm

Dear Student,

Protoplasm of a cell contains Nucleus, Cell membrane and Cytoplasm.
So, Cytoplasm is a part of Protoplasm.

The difference between Cytoplasm and Protoplasm is -

a) Protoplasm contains a Nucleus while Cytoplasm of a cell do not have a nucleus
b) Protoplasm is surrounded by Plasma or Cell membrane while the Cytoplasm surrounds the nucleus
c) Protoplasm is the entire living content of the cell whereas the Cytoplasm is consisted of organelles such as Golgi bodies, Mitochondria, Chloroplast, Cytoskeleton and various particles.
