Somatotropin:
Somatotropin is a growth hormone secreted by somatotrophs in the anterior pituitary. Its function is growth and development of the individual. It also maintains sugar metabolism, fat metabolism, body fluid maintenance, bone and muscle growth.

Somatostatin:
Somatostatin is an inhibitory factor secreted by the hypothalamus that inhibits somatotropin secretion.
