Differentiate between the women in the 20th century and the 21st century

Nowadays in 21st century (began on January 1, 2001, and will end on December 31,2100) ,
  • Girls from middle-class families go to school, and often study with boys. On growing up,many of them go to colleges and universities, and take up jobs after that. Now, women can have career choices.
  • They have to be adults before they are legally married.
  • And according to law, they can marry anyone they like,from any caste and community, and widows can marry too.
  • All women, like all men can now vote and can even stand for elections.
  • Women can have a place in politics and Government.
  • Women are treated as equals.
  • Now they are more Independent.
  • They do even have many medical facilities.
  • Indian law under the Hindu Marriage Act has defined the marriageable age of boy needs to be 21 years and that of girl needs to be 18 years of age.

whereas,
Earlier in 20th century ( began on January 1,1901 and ended on December 31,2000) things were different like,​​​​​​
  • In late 20th Century Polygamy, an act or custom of having more than one wife or husband practiced by people who seem unconcerned about the law or public opinion.
  • Women's rights movement won equal opportunities in higher education and employment relatively. Modern concept of women's equality as 'feminism' appeared in 1960s, led by activists such as Betty Friedan.
  • Many changes were also developing for women's equality in employment, number of working women had risen to 35% of the workforce.
  • Women's also won legal equality in the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
  • Women's movement was on the whole successful in achieving equality for women, and women could now choose whether to stay at home and play a traditional role or work outside the home professionally.
  • In 1929, the Child Marriage Restraint Act was passed without the kind of the bitter debates and struggles that earlier laws had seen. According to act, no man below the age of 18 and woman below the age of 16 could marry.
