Functions of the Prime Minister-

• Head of the Government- The Prime Minister is the head of the Government which means all the policies and decisions are made by him/her for the country.
• Appointment and removal of Ministers- The Prime Minister recommends the names of the ministers to the President. Similarly, he/she can remove a minister from the Council of Ministers.
• Head of the Cabinet- The Prime Minister is the head of the Cabinet. All the meetings of the Cabinet meet under his/her watch and all the decisions of the cabinet have the approval of the Prime Minister.
