Open in App
Solution

Movement of shoot towards light is the growth of the shoot system in response to light. It is known as phototropism and it is a tropic movement (depends on direction of the incoming light). Movement of leaves in sensitive plant is the quick movement of the leaves in response to touch. It does not involve growth and is a nastic movement (does not depend on direction of stimulus).
