Distinguish between the term overloading and short circuiting as used in domestic circuits

(a) Overloading occurs when an electric circuit draws more current than the permitted value and short circuiting occurs when the ends of a circuit are connected by a conductor of very low resistance as compared to that of circuit.
(b) The coils of electric toaster made of an alloy rather than pure metal because:
(1) resistivity of alloys is generally higher than its constituent metals.
(2) It has high melting point.
(3) It does not oxidise i.e., burn.
