Question

Do liquids have kinetic energy?

Open in App
Solution

Kinetic energy of liquids:

  1. Kinetic energy is the energy of motion or movement i.e the energy stored by a moving object.
  2. Liquids have weak intermolecular forces due to which the molecules of liquid can easily move from one place to another and get converted into vapours on heating.
  3. On condensation, the vapours again get converted into liquid.
  4. As the liquids have energy for motion so the liquids have kinetic energy.
