Open in App
Solution

Blood pressure :

  1. Blood pressure is the pressure exerted by blood on the walls of a blood vessel (artery or vein) that helps to push the blood throughout the body.
  2. The normal blood pressure is between 90/60 mmHg to 120/80 mmHg. It is measured using a sphygmomanometer.
  3. High blood pressure causes high blood flow.
  4. Pressure more than 140/90 mmHg is considered as high.
  5. Hypertension or high blood pressure gradually increases the pressure of blood flowing through the arteries.
  6. High blood flow due to pressure can damage the artery walls.
