Does HNO3 as an oxidising agent oxidise aldehyde and primary alcohols only ? Specifically primary alcohols??

Yes, HNO3 is an OA and can oxidise simple primary alcohol, secondary alcohol and aldehyde as well but can not oxidise the 2 degree alcohol of glucose
