Ozone in a rain storm is made by lightning dissociating oxygen molecules and also ozone is formed when UV radiation from the sun dissociates an oxygen molecule. These molecules form ozone in the ozone layer. Ozone molecules consists of three oxygen atoms that are bound together and it is represented as O3
