Question

Does milk contain lactobacillus??

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
Yes, lactobacillus is present in milk.
Freshly expressed milk from cow does not contain lactic acid as milk is a result of breakdown of lactate by bacteria.. But after some times after its expression, it contains lactic acid or lactate because the bacteria start fermenting the milk..

Hence fresh cow milk does not contain lactic acid but left for sometimes, it contains lactic acid.
