Open in App
Solution

Photosynthesis:

  1. The process by which plants generate their own food by using light, carbon dioxide, water and chlorophyll is known as photosynthesis.
  2. Chlorophyll pigment is present in chloroplasts of the plant cell.
  3. Due to the absence of chloroplasts in animal cells, photosynthesis does not take place in them.
  4. Chloroplasts are found in many unicellular eukaryotes, such as Euglena. They have both plant and animal traits.
